A player from Norway has won €2.9m on Yggdrasil’s Joker Millions after playing the video slot as he waited outside a shop for his partner.
Chris, a 21-year-old from Oslo, was playing the online slot on LeoVegas on Monday afternoon and won the life-changing cash prize of €2,881,257 from a bet of just €1.25 on his mobile as his parter bought apples in a grocery store.
The winner said he plans to invest in two apartments with the money and to take his girlfriend to the Maldives to celebrate.
Since Joker Million’s launch in March 2015, it has paid out for the third time, having previously fallen for €720,000 last September and €460,000 last December.
“It is a huge thrill to see someone win such a staggering sum of money from a single spin on an Yggdrasil slot,” Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said.
“Joker Millions is our first progressive slot and it is beloved by both operators and players. With more operators continuing to join the Yggdrasil network, the jackpot will be building up again quickly.”
“We are delighted that this jackpot was won by one of our customers who was playing LeoVegas on his mobile phone as a means to keep himself entertained. This truly shows what LeoVegas stands for – number one in mobile entertainment,” added Karolina Pelc, Head of Casino at LeoVegas, added.
“Yggdrasil games are always popular with our players as they look forward to enjoying more great content while chasing the next big jackpot.”
The online slot’s pooled jackpot has an expected fall out value of €2m and, unlike many other progressive jackpot games, also offers a deep and engaging base game.
