Investigation at Isle of Man's gambling companies
After many complaints filed in the local police, four of Isle of Man’s gambling companies are currently taken into investigation by the Isle of Man’s Gambling Supervision Commission.
According to the person responsible for iGaming regulation in the Isle of Man’s jurisdiction, the two main reasons for the investigation are voiding bets and closing accounts of the customers,
138.com, 12Bet, Fun88.co.uk and TLC are involved in the investigation. The accusations against these companies include also sending e-mail to the customers, stating that they have abused the site’s bonuses when Cheltenham Festival took place.
The Commission’s representative confirmed that 138.com, 12Bet, Fun88.co.uk and TLC are being investigated and explained in detail how the process look like: “When we become aware of a complaint about fairness we gather information from customers and from the licensee. We then examine the information and form a conclusion. This two-stage process can take some time. Conclusions are shared with the relevant parties and any party may challenge the conclusion. Once that process is complete, the GSC makes a recommendation to resolve the issue.”
The companies involved in the investigation promised to take into account all the conclusions and circumstances. Moreover, 2Bet, Fun88.co.uk and TLC will request a detailed raport from their operator and licensee – TGP Holdings, while 138.com will udertake the same action towards its licensee – Xela Holdings.
