Gaming and e-sports sectors to get together in Las Vegas
The two-days event, that will be held on October 25-26 at the SLS Casino and Resort in Las Vegas with an aim to give all the shareholders form both sectors – commercial gaming and esports industries – to meet and exchange experiences. Another issue that will be taken into account during the event will be the chance of the both industries to analyze how to draw benefits from each other’s experience and scope of offered activities.
The idea of such an even took a real shape, as there is no doubt that the esports industry is growing fast and steadily, which makes the commercial gaming industry think about the possibilities of collaboration, engaging the fans as well as esports companies successfully. The esports are already considered as a phenomenon and it seem not to slow down.
The decision of holding the Esports and Casino Resorts meeting is not based just on ideas or assumptions; Narus Advisors and Eilers & Krejcik Gaming researchers have already examined the market and came to certain conclusions: nearly 54% of the respondents taken into account in the gaming industry poll think that hosting esports events in the Las Vegas casinos will be “effective” to “incredibly effective”.
As Chris Grove, a partner at Narus Advisors, said: “The relationship between esports and casinos is at a tipping point. Our research leaves little doubt that casino executives appreciate the significance of esports, but are less clear on the optimal entry points into esports for their companies,” added Grove.
“Our goal at Esports and Casino Resorts is to provide the gambling industry with a practical framework for identifying and evaluating those entry points today.”
The list of speakers that will share their thoughts on the event include great names with many more to come in the future. As many believe, the commercial gaming sector has only scratched the surface of possible revenues that can be obtained owing to such a collaboration and the even will help to examine the issue further.
